There are a lot of draws on that list. I'm guessing they'll spin that into motivation to work hard over the offseason.
Of a list of things that a coach dreads, I would think that the dead time between spring and fall practices is one of them. Other than the trainer in the weight room, there’s just not a lot of leverage to ensure everybody’s putting their personal time in. Something along the lines of “work hard; your position is not secure” would be handy.

One other note: Imagine a 2-TE, empty backfield set.
You could have Gerald Jones, Brandon Warren, Denarius Moore, Austin Rogers, Brad Cottam, and Luke Stocker all eligible to run routes on the same play. Or you could hold 1 or 2 TEs back for protection.
