Mike Hamilton and Lane Kiffin made a nice early attempt to repair the rift between the program and Phillip Fulmer by honoring him for receiving the Neyland Award before the spring game, and Fulmer made an attempt to heal the rift between him and Johnny Majors by saying that he hopes he has followed the lead of Doug Dickey and Majors, his "mentors."
- Money! The football program fell $2.2 million short of its projected income in 2008 -- $1 million in ticket sales and another $1.2 million because we didn't get a bowl game last year.
