Tennessee Possibly Targeting Former Cal Commitment?
Entry BodyThis was a tiny blurb from my local paper here in the Bay Area:
- If you see Jeff Tedford, offer him a fishing lure and some good mojo. Oaks Christian's (Westlake Village) Cassius Marsh, the third-rated defensive tackle in the nation, has decommitted from Cal and is looking at schools in the Southeastern Conference.
- And you know what that means: Don't rule out Marsh getting caught up in Hurricane Kiffin, as the new Tennessee coach is blowing through the recruiting trail and the rule book with equal force.

That was all that was mentioned in the article, which leads me to believe that at this point it's just pure speculation. Likewise, the defensive line is one of the area's that needs addressing in the Volunteer's defense.
"I decommitted from Cal," Marsh told Scout.com. "I just want to check out other schools."
Marsh said specifically, he's interested in some schools outside of the West.
"I'm seriously thinking about the SEC," said Marsh. "New schools I really like are LSU and Oklahoma. And I'm still looking at USC and Tennessee."
Still, the door isn't shut with the Golden Bears.
"Cal is still number one," said Marsh.
To me, this just sounds like a kid trying to keep his options open. Plus, this seems like a recurring trend in today's recruiting time's. I'm sure Coach O has been on him even harder since his decommitment.
