Jesse Scroggins is going to commit next week
Lakewood, California quarterback, Jesse Scroggins attended UT camp this weekend and said he plans on returning to California and then going to commit next week.
Jesse said that he was impressed by UT and loves the coaching staff. He has family ties to Tennessee and all we have to do now is offer his cousin, Jerry Anderson. He said that UT is at the top of the list and I believe he will commit to us in about 10 days.

QB position settled
Now we locked up a QB…. we will be bringing in all of the rest of the big players on offense and defense
"We gotta get back to workin' like heck!"
Where'd you catch this news?
Not calling you out or anything; I’d just like a link to an article or an audio clip so I can catch up.
May have misinterpreted something.
That article didn’t say he was committing to Tennessee. Just that he was going, going back, back to Cali, Cali (sorry) to talk to his parents and coaches before possibly committing this coming week.
I do, however, feel very good about our chances.
If we do get him, will you retract your previous statement about 3-stars? ;-)
Tennessee WILL beat Georgia on the way to 9+ wins in '09!!!
Guessing GoVolsxtra is the source?

key quotes seem to be:
it was clear UT had made a strong impression and likely vaulted into the lead.
Scroggins will stay in Knoxville until Sunday before flying home to Southern California. If Scroggins stays true to his plan, UT will have the final say in his recruitment.
"I don’t plan to commit on any of these trips," Scroggins said. "I’m thinking next week or something. I’ve still got to go back and evaluate and talk to my coach, tell him how I feel and talk to my parents."
Much of Scroggins decision could hinge on UT’s evaluation of his cousin: receiver Jerry Anderson from Houston High School in Germantown. Anderson was at UT’s camp on Saturday.
Our average star rating (3.44) is higher than...
(according to Scout.com)
Alabama, Florida, LSU, Michigan, USC, and others.
That said, all four of those schools are currently ranked higher than us because of the quality (and in some cases, size of classes) of their upper-end recruits.
Don’t fret… things will be just fine.
