USC has offered Jesse Scroggins
Just read this from the comments section of GVX...
http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/varsitytimesinsider/2009/06/football-lakewood-qb-gets-usc-offer.html
One person commented on the story and said that USC is pretty set at QB for a few years. This would hopefully play to our advantage. Only time will tell...especially if USC also offers his cousin. Here's hoping Jesse sees our depth chart in a favorable manner!
Go Vols!

Could happen.
This is a heck of a dog and pony show they whipped up for the sake of handing him an offer. It was obvious he was the guy they were going to offer long before this camp even started. That’s the beauty of scout tape.

I was wondering if anybody felt the same way or if I was just being paranoid.
“Lets have a competition to see who gets this scholarship, we’ll bring on campus and make them compete head to head” but really it felt like they already knew who they were picking, but this was just a bigger draw to play to the player’s ego.
Imma go put my tinfoil hat on now.
now with less meyton panning.

Give credit where due:
USC has a knack for finding ways to stand out from the crowd.

"knack"...is that you what you call it?
Where I come from, we call that “large amounts of unmarked bills.”
This is very likely
Must be nice to have six highly rated QBs on your roster such that you can take a gamble like this.
I still think Tennessee has a great shot, once the initial emotion of the USC offer subsides.
Looks like the rumor has been squashed
But for the time being, USC leads. We will see how he feels after there is less emotion and he has time to sit down and think.
