Best Plays of 2008: the seventh cut

Finally! Eric Berry's Third Interception of the Year gracefully exits from the Best Plays of 2008 thingy. Goodbye:

I'm reserving my choice for today's elimination for the comment section.

DO NOT VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE PLAY -- VOTE FOR THE ONE YOU WANT TO SEE ELIMINATED. The play with the most votes gets cut from the competition.

I've been on the EBWACC train for the last few days.

Hasn’t really gone anywhere, but they, now it’s there.

Today's the day my friend

Aside from the two Berry hits, every single play left on this list happened at a crucial point in the game…except EBWACC. I’m ready to vote for something else too…let’s get it done.

Are you knocking the Berry hits off next?

If so, we may need to have a little talk.

by Graysnail on Jun 3, 2009 9:53 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

No, I'm a hypocrite

when it comes to those two plays. The Maze hit could have actually been considered a tone-setter at the time in that game. The Moreno hit was inconsequential to the outcome of the game…but it’s been my desktop wallpaper for months, I love looking at it everyday, and I expect it to win. It’ll probably make it to the final two with me.

See, I'm the other way around.

I think someone can make an animated .gif of Maze spinning around like a helicopter, if they haven’t already. The Moreno hit was noise from what I can tell, and watching it again there’s a bit of helmet-to-helmet on it.. It was a fun hit, but I’m partial to the Maze hit myself.

Yeah

I’m going with EBWACC mostly for practical reasons — I think it’s going to win/lose today anyway, and I hate voting for the same play three days in a row. Boring. So . . . you know.

I wonder how much hate train I'll get for wanting to go after More Score for Moore after this.

80% of the reason I want that one to go down is because it contains Crompton, who by definition shouldn’t be involved in the play of the year if we’re making the play be a good thing.

If we were of the sadistic lot, Crompton’s fumble on his first snap in the ….South Carolina(?) game would be the runaway winner for play of the year.

by Graysnail on Jun 3, 2009 10:19 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

See, to me that's the winner

I seriously doubt it’ll make it even to the final two or three…but to me that was the biggest play of the year, because it made the biggest difference in the game that was our most important win.

You don’t want to believe that Crompton’s completely cured after that throw?…

Berry in the Endzone

Stafford is an idiot.

Thank You!

Been my vote for the past 2-3. Play had nothing to do with good execution on UT’s part and everything to do with a piss-poor pass by Stafford.

now with less meyton panning.
