our recruiting class sucks

I dont care if you call me a troll or any of that BS. Im pissed that kiffin is sitting around on his lazy [FULMERIZED --hooper] and not doin [FULMERIZED --hooper] on recruiting. We are behind south carolina, georgia, florida, auburn, alabama,  and all of the big time rivals.

Star-divide

We have not gotten a QB or any really good o-line man..  we have not gotten any recievers or any offensive position in need and dont act like some of those total bs recruits like marques pair is anything... or fulton or any of that total [FULMERIZED --hooper]. We act like we are goin to swoop in right at the end and catch up on all of the good prospects but we are not gunna get but maybe a couple. Im sick of us not recruiting on 2010 and i dont care about 2009 anymore.

Ok, I'm bored now.

It was fun playing along for a little while, (and I’m not the only one who enjoyed it, I’m sure), but this business of logging in as both BBrown and PETER_GRIFFIN has probably played out long enough.

We don’t have any problems with disagreement, so long as it’s civil. And we promise to be civil in return. If you legitimately don’t like how things are going so far, that’s all right and we welcome the discussion. Vent a bit, talk a bit, and be a part of the community. Or, if you’re not really a Vols fan and you’re just trying to stir the muck, at least be decent enough to be honest about who you are and where your allegiances lie. Others do that and, though it may get a little tense on occasion, it works out quite nicely.

So let’s start over. Pick a profile and stick with it. Or, if that’s too hard, I’ll ban one at random and let you keep the other. And if you think that I’m somehow mistaken about your identity and intentions, you can first email me to explain why you (two) always log in at the same computer – sometimes even switching back and forth sequentially – and yet manage to act like you have no idea who the other is.

Show everybody here some respect by being honest about yourself and we’ll return the favor by forgetting about this whole thing. And as always,

GO VOLS!!!

Your Post is inaccurate and poorly presented.

We may be frustrated at the lack of a quality QB, but I don’t think recruiting is a source of criticism against Kiffin from many people on this site.

In these early days, Scout has UT #15 in the nation for 2010. They have us 5th in the SEC. Bama (#2) is first in the conference; Georgia (#4) is second; Florida (#6) is third; and, LSU (#7) is fourth. We are ahead of South Carolina and Auburn.

For perspective, last year we ended up 8th nationally and 4th in the SEC. Same SEC schools outpacing us, except we beat Florida in the 2009 class. Not a lot of slippage there.

Additionally, Scout’s ratings place a heavy bias on quantity signed/committed. UT only has 12 commits. The other SEC schools have 15 or 16 committed.

We pay less attention to rating stars and more attention to upside/fitting the system.

If you look at the top 150 uncommitted players, UT is in the mix for a ton of them – including QB, OL. The offensive players are waiting to see if we sign a stellar QB before they sign on. It’s natural, and has nothing to do with Kiffin’s work ethic.

The breaks haven’t gone our way on the top QB candidates yet. We’ll see if we get Scroggins or someone else before it’s all over. We obviously have a while before the books are closed on this recruiting class. And, don’t forget how strongly we closed the 2009 class…

Lastly, please elevate the tone of your posts. You may be upset, but please filter your thoughts before you put them out there for everyone else to read.

Admirable

Response MP, but this guys (intentional typo?) belongs over at the GVX comments section, not here.
