TN Alternate Black Uniform (Updated Again)

Long time reader, first time post.
Am I a heretic for using too much black here? I think when done right a black jersey isn' t so bad. I've always wanted more stripes on the helmet but not too many more. Also, the black facemask looked better than I thought it would. So here's my contribution. Is it worth trying for at least one game this year or is that wishful thinking?
UPDATE: I'm having too much fun with this. Here's another one with a black jersey that I like. Also below are more traditional home and away uniforms with some minor changes. Enjoy.

Update 2: Last update b/c I need to be productive today! In response to the comment about using orange numbers I made a new uniform. I borrowed heavily from the Raiders uniform and made this one as simple looking as possible and with clean lines. I wanted it to look like a throwback and like the jersey for sale at West Town Mall.
Okay I'm done. I gotta stop this madness.

As I've been seeing more of these
I think the Vols could easily be persuaded to go to three stripes on the helmet, thanks to adidas. I’m not even sure if adidas makes helmets…but it’s an easy and logial first step towards change if one was going to be made.

Everyone has their opinions. I agree with Will; the tri-stripe could be something that we could learn to like pretty quickly.

I never connected Adidas and three stripes but you’re right. Some changes to the helmet and a little orange or white piping on the jerseys and you can really have yourself a nice updated look without upsetting even the most strident UT fans. At least I hope….
Agreed.
I like tradition, but there has to be a balance between that and innovation. Repainting the stripes wouldn’t harm anything and might be really cool.

Yeah! I agree too. Everyone has their opinions of course. Bravo! I like the new look of their uniforms! And their helmets are awesome! Thumbs up :D
