My expectations for Coach Cal - left over at aSoB
5-4-3-2-1
5 – losses or less. UK is L-O-A-D-E-D. Not even a first year system implementation and average bench coaching can kill the outstanding talent level Cal has in his first year. Rupp arena is worth a handful of wins – just on sheer intimidation and enthusiasm alone.

4 – as in Final Four. Patterson is a beast and he’s not alone underneath. Better balance inside and outside should allow for a Final Four run.

3 – as in 3-pointers. KY should be able to shoot them again with someone besides Meeks getting hot this year. Seriously talented guards coming in. Let’s see how quickly they make top-flight contributions. More than just a two man show, this year.

2 – conference losses as KY returns to dominance in the SEC East and breaks the string of four straight years of finishing behind Pearl and UT.

1 – tainted test score, Worldwide Wes incident or other major recruiting violation allegation that is just serious enough to get the NCAA’s attention, finally. There is a down side to success with this coach, sooner or later. So far, it’s been later…

Is questionable.

This UK team is loaded on a historical level, but they aren’t necessarily loaded with three point shooters.

Didn't mean to imply they were loaded with 3 point shooters

just meant that they should have at least two options instead of just Meeks. Granted Meeks on a hot streak is enough to put up 40+, but it’s also easier to scheme for that one guy.

Heh

Tell this:

but it’s also easier to scheme for that one guy

to last year’s team. Still hurts my stomach to think about what he did.

Tennessee WILL beat Georgia on the way to 9+ wins in '09!!!
