A: first year is tough. Takes time to get systems implemented. Some doubt about what you’re doing; can’t play as fast. 2nd year, you see a lot of improvement b/c they know what you expect and they’re comfrotable.

Four freshmen WRs returning. Did lose two seniors on o-line, but offensively last we were good at times, just not consistent. We’ll be better there w/ addition of some big backs.

A1: (Answering the first part of the question I missed.)

A2: Junior college players should be there. One’s here now, the other soon. couple of young corners and safeties.

Each school should get ~$15 mil each year. The previous TV contracts were worth about $5 mil, so there’s a ~$10 mil gain for each school, each year.

A: Want a guy who’s a great leader, competitor and proven winner. Tim’s done all of those. He’s tremendous. He can make all of the throws. No question he’ll be sucessful in NFL.

A: Not so much just that, but finding an under center guy b/c of so many HS QBs taking snaps in shotgun.

A: Got him to lose weight. He can throw the deep ball well. Hope to do that more this year. He’s also more mobile now. Can move the pocket now. Take pressure off o-line.

A: Feel more comfortable standing here today than he did last year. Joke. But yeah, feel much more comfortable. Everybody knowing more what to expect this season.

A: Got a call that he was interested in transferring after Mallet got the release. Ryan’s always wanted to go to Arkansas. First phoen call he made; visited; got an understanding of what they wanted to do; made the decision. Very happy.

A: He’s repressed those memories. They were tough. Had a tough stretch w/ Texas, AL, FL. They use those to show how they need to be consistent.

A: Very critical due to the speed. That’s a concern. Ryan played as true freshman at Michigan, so that will help him. Hard to win a C w/out good QB play.

A: I’m not crazy. Yeah. (maybe w/ a Probably"

A: Penetration, abilityto rush passer. Trying to put some knowledge together w/ those instincts. Ancticipating a good year.

A: Too awhile and have a ways to go, especially in passing game. We have to run the ball better.

A: That’s “Nick.” Wants to be a football coach. Must be a relation.

A: It’s going to be hard. We’ll be better. How many wins? Yet to be seen. Had a lot of close games last year; hopefully offseason work will allow us to win more. Want to win all home games.

A: Davis is doing great. Cutting, changing directions. Barnett is a bit behind, hopefully he’ll get caught up. Probably limited when start practice.

A: Mallett’s lost weight over 18 months. On lines, getting closer. Nice job in the weight room. One of the guys apparently did a back flip this week.

A: You just don’t think about those things. Wished Vick well.

A: We’re not a spread offense team; we’re multiple formation, power run, play action pass team.

Looks like Pearl coached the American team to a gold.

. . . the players are at separate tables at the same time, and there’s no way I’ll be able to both write and hold the computer to record it. Will have to play that by ear.
