And said he would only take questions by Twitter or some other new tech medium.

Gonna be a spread offense
Multiple spread team. Make defense defend the entire field. Create one on one match ups.

Will continue great tradition of defense at MSU
Wants 11 guys running to the ball every single play.

They'll play eleven players
for 60 minutes? Yikes!

Q: Dos and don'ts
A: Dos from Urban Meyer is effort and attitude, which is developed during the offseason w/ the strength and conditioning coach.

“Have had to put up w/ URban Meyer for years.”

Q: New offense; talk about QB; expectations for it?
A: Tyson Lee’s run the spread before. Competition will be stiff. Successful teams usually have a great and/or seasoned QB. Team will take on personality of QB.

Q: What's the biggest challenge for inexperienced QBs?
A: Talent all over the league is really high. Have to game plan players, not just schemes.

Best way to combat it
Put the QB in a position to be successful. See, e.g., Tebow. Had him doing things he did well in small packages, building up his confidence.

Q: Won two BCS Championships; what do you say about that never happening at MSU?
It’s only been two years since MSU’s been to Atlanta; if you get there, you have a chance. The goal isn’t to win a NC, but to win an SEC C.

That statement about it only being two years since they went to Atlanta
is blatantly false. I hope someone called him out on it.

Thanks for that.
That’s just what I needed to be reminded of.

The alcohol regulations in Oxford
are ridiculous. Can’t serve alcohol on Sundays. Can’t sell cold beer EVER (except at resaurants). Can’t carry beer on campus even if you’re of age.
Anyway, it’s primarily because of conservative christians (a group of which I’m generally considered a member) that these inane restrictions are placed on alcohol.

Q: Toughest challenge as a head coach?
A: Had a good mentor in Meyer. Nothing’s really been unexpected. It has been a learning experience.

BTW, he voted for Tebow.
It’s going to be fun playing him.

Q: what's most important for August?
A: have to pick up where we left off. Developing a tight bond and the effort we’ll need.

Q: About being w/ Meyer
A: Each program was built a different way. General philosophy was the same, but the way they got there was different. Excited to build the program. It will be different at MSU.

Q: How important to have Chaney back?
A: Very important. Told coach he’d do whatever the coach asked him to do. MVP right now to the team. Having a personality back like that is a huge help.

Q: What will it be like going against Urban?
A: Will be fun; will keep an eye on signals and change if necessary. It’ll be more fun than anything.

Well, crap
Mullen just choked up talking about Tebow, saying he taught him that if you can impact someone’s life you have an obligation to do so. Right in the middle of that, my recording was interrupted by the blue screen of death.
