Yes, that is correct
Sorry for the switcheroo, but as I was pre-posting the rest of the threads today, I noticed that the system somehow doesn’t account for the time zone switch. So I got confused.

You should ask him if he voted for Tim Tebow
Because no one else will ask him that.

By the way . . .
. . . I’m pretty sure that the streaming available on the SEC site is from another room, so everything you’re getting from me here is different.

Offensive formations
O required to have 7 on line of scrimmage. Always been that way. Now, same rule, but says O may have no more than four in the backfield. Easier to officiate.

Kicking game
Rugby kicks. Is he running or kicking? Advantages to kicking team. More likely to be line drive, so change: if punter carries the ball outside the tackle box before he kicks, no roughing the kicker penalties. You can hit him.

me neither.
It’d take too much time. The only utility would be a rolling out qb who kicks as a plan B.

Expectations
Put the work in. Work together. Realize it takes more than just two stars like they had last year. Maybe that will be a benefit this year.

Q: Talk about Joe Cox.
A: You need an accurate passer, great decision-maker, someone who can handle pressure, and need a leader. Joe has all of that. No. 1 vote-getting in post-spring team voting. That says a lot about him. Players believe that Joe was ready last season if he’d been called up.

Q: What about Tebow? Is it a big deal?
A: Ballots are private for a reason. Everyone has the right to their own opinion. It would be difficult not to vote for Tim. Maybe a mistake in the calucation? A typo?

Q: Schedule
A: Nonconference. 3 of 4 is a lot, and then look at who they are. It’s tough. It’s the highest preseason start for Oklahoma State. Then Arizona St., Georgia Tech.

Salaries
Assistant coach salaries, yes, they’re going up. It’s sometimes difficult to keep the staff. At GA, though, we have a bunch of coaches, and you want to pay them well. Create an atmosphere where coaches love coming to work. Don’t micromanage.

Q: What's best way to handle expectations?
A: “I don’t know.” Your mind has to be focused on teh process of getting prepare. Offseason conditioning, behaving, belief in how important the team is, focus on fundamentals. Just stay focused.

Q: Depth in secondary and RBs.
A: Jones and Evans, we have a lot of confidence in them. Some other good guys behind them.
RBs: Could blindly grab 2 or 3 and would have confidence in them. Nobody’s separated themselves from the pack, but the whole pack is good.

Which QB will get fan support first?
Cox or Crompton?
by David Hooper on Jul 23, 2009 10:08 AM EDT up reply actions
Crompton can play poorly
And we can still start 3-1. Georgia has no such luxury.

would he be supported if his start is poor?

All in the phrasing, I suppose
How about “Cox will lose support first”. You’re right though, 3-1 doesn’t guarantee our undying love for Jonathan.

Just wait 'till they play USC:
The “Go ’Cocks!” cheer will be quite confusing.
(UGA fans ought to start their own “Go Cox!” cheer up, just to piss off the USC fans…)
by David Hooper on Jul 23, 2009 10:18 AM EDT up reply actions
Over the last couple of years, USC had a lot of unfortunate names.
I’m surprised that more of them didn’t get played out over the interwebs. And I think, for respect of the blog’s decency standards, I’ll just leave things at that.

Q: Impressions of Petrino?
A: His history is one of success. Louisville’s struggled since he left. He knows what he’s doing. Great QB developer. Good scheme. He’s “just an outstanding coach.”

Can’t bring the computer. Have a handheld, but the sound quality is bad. I’ll try to get better positioning for Tebow (unless he’s at the main podium) and for Berry.

I'm just wondering:
Like the Coach’s Poll during the regular season, could it be that somebody handed their ballot to an assistant, and the assistant made the non-Tebow vote?
If so, then it’d be easy to say that all the head coaches vote for Tebow, even if not all the ballots show that.
