Only A is unreasonable. Ohio State would regularly beat Vandy.

The SEC should (almost) automatically receive a spot in the NC game. Winning the toughest conference almost always means undefeated or one loss season. If you beat the loaded conference schedule in the SEC, you should play for the NC.

The reason I say (almost) automatically is that there’s the possibility that the SEC will face a down year sometime and two other conferences will be stronger. HAHAHAAHAHAAA. I’ll let you know if that ever happens. In the meantime, let the SEC winner book a reservation in the NC game.

USC & Texas can’t handle the SEC speed. They are good programs with good coaching and very good athletes. They play softer conference schedules, but would still finish in the top third of the SEC. Some years they really would win it all (Vince Young & the early USC years).

But, the reality is – the SEC plays with physicality and speed because it has the best athletes overall. It also has more outstanding coaches. Face that every week and you will lose more here than in the PAC-10, Big 12 or Big Ten. The Big Ten has Penn State and Ohio State. Sometimes Michigan or Wisconsin. Seems like the only teams UT struggled to beat were Paterno’s PSU guys in bowl games. The Pac-10 has, hmmmm.

Until the Big 10 can send somebody besides the annual whipping boy (Ohio State), they should just-shut-up-and-drink-their-beer (tip of the cap to the Cubbies – Wrigley bleacher fans).
