Regarding the question of Memphis's forfeit that A Sea of Blue asks.
There’s a principle involved in this particular case that the NCAA really wants to be careful about. Had the NCAA upheld Rose’s eligibility due to the pre-season ruling of the Clearinghouse, the Rose incident could set have set a precedent where cheating on admissions is admissible if the Clearinghouse signs off on it. The NCAA quite obviously wants the ability to review all decisions from the Clearinghouse, even after the Clearinghouse makes their rulings, and I think it’s an ability that the NCAA should have.
It’s a principle that works both ways. Organizations like the <a href="http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&ct=res&cd=1&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.innocenceproject.org%2F&ei=Pc-SSpWIL8SGtgePnYzPBA&rct=j&q=innocence+project&usg=AFQjCNGzTeGgU-8EXVoLb_KbTT3PvAsIUw" >Innocence Project use the same concept of post-verdict discovery to change rulings to see improperly jailed people free.
The bottom line they’re protecting is that cheating is cheating, even if it flies under the radar on the first pass.
But that’s my $0.02, and I’ll stay out of it otherwise. I hate getting into these kinds of arguments; they never get anywhere.

Oh, right.
Never, ever trust a Google link to give you an intelligible hyperlink. Let’s try that again:

Ah, better.

I semi-humorously suggest that ASoB is just laying the groundwork for Calipari’s turn at KY.
