Rivals: McNeil may need surgery. Sullins now the likely starter for Vols.
"While Lane Kiffin named Jonathan Crompton Tennessee's starting quarterback but declined to divulge a starting center following practice Monday, Cody Sullins is expected to be named UT's starter by midweek because the Academic All-SEC performer had earned the job and because Josh McNeil's career in orange is in doubt."
It's behind a paywall, so us freeloaders don't get any more than that. But (a) this stinks for Josh, and (b) if his career is in question, who's the backup?
Oh, and aren't you glad that Sullins had the opportunity to prove himself? Me too.

Quote from James Cregg:
“He got landed into and he heard a crunch.”
That’s just about the last word I want associated with my knees. Not good.

Sullins was likely the starter anyway
But this certainly hurts our depth.

My favorite is Kiffin's comment on the MRI for McNeil's knees
His knees are so damaged that an MRI doesn’t do any good.
That’s another thing you don’t want to have someone say about your knees.
Avoid:
1) Crunching
2) Useless MRI’s because of prior crunching

Wow. The injury bug is really, really bad this year, particularly on the o-line and WRs.

Physical practices
are a brutal Darwinian process.
