Around SBN: Hugh Douglas Admits To Stealing From Jaguars

Help me fill out the injury list, please.

Over the last few weeks, I've slowly built up a roster file for a personal reference; this last week has given me the unfortunate realization that adding injury statuses (stati?) would be a good idea. I've sifted through the archives and found most of our presently-infirmed footballers, but I'm not sure that I got them all.

Is there anybody else besides the following?

I find it a little odd that all of the injured players I found were from the offensive side of the ball.  That's partly why I feel like I'm missing somebody.  Am I?

Thanks for the help.

(Note: my 'expected back by' times are highly approximate; I took the time of injury and the window of opportunity for a return and chose the Saturday closest to the middle.  It's just a reference point, not a prognosis.)

Right.

I’m not sure how to handle wounded-yet-playable. Is he playable? I have completely lost track on this.

Yeah

There’s a bunch of those from Herman Lathers, Rico McCoy, Bryce Brown, etc. etc.

I think sticking with injuries that make them at best questionable for WKU is probably the way to go.

Tennessee WILL beat Georgia on the way to 9+ wins in '09!!!
Eric Berry For Heisman!!!

Found Vinson

he’s back in practice, so I’ll leave him off the list. Since basically every player, sans kickers, are dinged up to some degree, I think I’ll try to stick to the out-of-action guys only. We’ll see how it goes.

Don't start with the receivers

You’ll tire and won’t be able to finish.

Jesse Scroggins -a momentary lapse of judgement – 2/3/2010

by danmarcel on Aug 25, 2009 11:17 PM EDT reply actions

If Barkley does well, Scroggins just might change his mind. But I still think it’s a serious uphill battle, even at that. There are a lot of USC ties around him, and it’s harder to sever connections than to not make them in the first place.

Heh

That’s funny. Although, and I speak from abundant experience, recovery from lapse of judgment often takes years.

;-)

Let's hope my wife never recovers from her lapse of judgment

I married up – way up – and I hope she never figures it out. Odds are pretty good for me approaching 20 years that she’d figure it’s too late to cut her losses anyway. It’s funny – other than her choice in husband, she’s normally a smart lady… ;)

I have read that Rico McCoy and Brent Vinson were also injured but I do not know how serious. My feel is that they are just minor injuries and these guys would not miss any games.

Vinson is in practice.

I believe McCoy is as well, but I’m not 100% on him. Right now, if they’re good enough to be considered available for games, I’m going to leave them off the list. I can’t keep track of the bajillion minor injuries that happen during the season.

Heh.

I’m not sure about that exactly, but I’ve already got you on the PUP list (along with every other blogger on the block…)

um

phfenominal

Eric Berry for sending the guy who wins the Heisman spinning 720 degrees in the air at the podium - or for intercepting it and returning it to where it rightfully belongs

Not too many

That isn’t a huge list, you guys seem to be doing OK.

by Aardvark on Sep 3, 2009 4:59 PM EDT reply actions

Yeah, the number isn't so bad.

It’s just that they’re all on the offense; the number of receivers is particularly troublesome right now.

by David Hooper on Sep 3, 2009 5:32 PM EDT up reply actions

Yes

Last year for us it was all on the D line, like 5 who quit/injured out.

I know that today, can’t rely entirley on the run unless you’re an Air Force like squad, but Bryce Brown had good things said about him in camp, you have other quality RBs, can they take enough of the load?

Will the defense keep you guys in games (the way we’re hoping ours casn)?
