Somewhat lost in the hoopla of Bryce Brown and David Oku, Williams enrolled early, and success during his first spring was likely a factor in Lennon Creer leaving the program. He and Montario Hardesty and Tauren Poole combined for 2201 yards on 42 carries for a 4.8 yard average in the Orange and White Game.

Keeping Williams ranked this low in the Class of 2009 is the fact that his offer list includes only Kentucky, North Carolina State, Georgia Tech, and Indiana. But he committed early, and that often has the effect of limiting additional offers. The bad news is that Williams tore his ACL during the offseason and will miss 2009.
