Michael Taylor has committed to the Tennessee Volunteers!
Scout.com is reporting that Michael Taylor, a linebacker out of Westlake High School, Georgia, is now committed to the Volunteers. Taylor is a Rivals and a Scout 3-star middle linebacker who runs a 4.5 40 and is currently 6'0". 200 lbs. (I would suspect his primary reason for not being more highly rated is that he needs to add some weight and could use another inch or two of height.)
Taylor was also offered by LSU and Virginia Tech, but was down to Standford and Tennessee as his most preferred two. It's a nice combination of academic ability and athletic talent that gets you in position for such offers, and he has both.
The big board has been updated to reflect his newfound love for orange. Welcome, Michael!

He had more than just offers from LSU and Vtech...
Alabama, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Miami, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and West Virginia, among others.
Yeah, I saw that after writing the post.
I was working off of Scout’s page at the time, and they’re never as comprehensive. I was caught up in the moment, though.
Isn't it wonderful
to compete head-to-head with Bama and LSU for talent and WIN? We are building a nice foundation for the future, it seems.
I'm glad I wasn't drinking coffee at the moment I read that.
It was close, though…

And I seriously hope that ‘antoher’ was intentional. That’s a really nice touch.
