Someone explain why we are passing as much as we are please?
The yards per attempt is significantly lower passing than rushing. To me it seems they are only halfway keying in on the run. Now with the second pick there is no reason that the number of pass plays should almost equal the number of run plays (if the ESPN tracker is to be believed). What logic am I missing?
Because everyone in America knows Crompton is terrible.
So you shut down the run and make him beat you.
It doesnt really seem like they are shutting down the run though.

i haven't been blown away by our rushing attack today, but....
cutting down on the passing plays would sure cut down on the turnovers and mistakes.

Crompton's doing fine in the short passes
It’s the long passes that he keeps missing. And part of that is the extra time the UCLA defenders have to react to the ball. I imagine we’ll see A LOT of running next week.

Jonathan Crompton has had so many chances
to show he has any ability, and he has failed so many times, it’s disgusting. I hope nobody tries to be a homer and argue we’re being too mean, or he needs a chance, or we need to hang in there with him.
He may win a job in practice, but with a game on the line, he can’t handle the pressure and get it done.

UCLA’s defense is much better than I anticipater, almost as good as ours.
Our offense is MUCH worse than I anticipated.

My week is pretty busy.
But starting last season Ive posted every game day.
I was behind Crompton and Kiffins plan to stick with him until the third interception.
