I cant speak for everyone but since I don’t know Crompton, I cant possibly hate him. On the other hand, I do hate what his bad play, particularly turnovers, have done to hurt this football team and its psychie. I have a lot of respect for standing by your guy to see how he responds etc. but, from where I’m sitting, history shows that last years staff stood by him long enough. Even if he were making different mistakes from last year, I could see it.. but at this point, I just don’t. Unfortunately, Stevens didn’t see enough playing time against WKU and none against UCLA which might have given hope to see him in the event of things getting bad this saturday.. I’m sorry fellow Volunteers, I’m finding it extremely hard to be optimistic about this kid.. I will eat my hat if he proves me wrong…and I am hungry..

Surprised? No. Ashamed? Yes.

The kid got death threats. Thats disappointing, and I hope its not currently going on.

While watching him play can be very frustrating, as long as he is on the field I will support him. That means I’m not going to boo him (curse his name maybe), and I certainly wasn’t leaving before those 4 downs were done on Saturday.
