He’s worth millions and won’t improve his draft stock. If you had a choice between millions after your junior year or millions after your senior year, which would you choose?
Some just have a love of the college game.
Peyton would almost certainly have been the first pick in the 1997 draft as well, but he stayed. I’m not suggesting that EB should or should not stay, but for some players, the money isn’t the only consideration.
His family's employment situation would have to improve before a 4th year is even a consideration.
That NFL paycheck would do absolute wonders for the whole family right now. You’re right that money isn’t everything, but in this case, the family situation is in support of leaving early.

I don’t think you can really compare the Berrys right now and the Mannings circa 1997 financially.
