Um...

“Kiffin must be destroyed?” OK….

I prefer this one: Kiffino tollendum est.

which means: Kiffin must be given the heave-ho.

Wow Kiffin

I knew he was a snake. Now you vols fans know why we all hate this guy. Here’s to USC fading into mediocrity!

Is it wrong

that I am kinda hoping USC gets the SMU treatment soon?

Id kinda feel bad for the kids there, but…

Sorry,

That was supposed to be in reply to golfballs03.

by Muhler on Jan 13, 2010 12:51 AM EST up reply actions

dont feel bad for them

many of them are pompous criminals anyway, but as an SMU student and the son of UCLA alums, you can probably see why I’d love for SC to get something resembling the death penalty : )

William Doolittle at your service, a.k.a. will do.

As a BAMA fan, I hate the Vols on the TSIO

I have respect for what UT has done over time(still not a big Fulmer fan but not here to harp on that). I thought Kiffin was a bit silly but I did not know he was a complete douche. It may end up hurting you program in the short run but I think you are better off in the long run. I am not much of a smack talker, even if I was, I still remember when Francis the Ropeholding Douchebag left in a sleazy way from BAMA. So I feel your pain but anybody you get to replace him will surely have more character.

Auburn and Tennessee fans are a lot like Slinkys...neither are worth much but you do get a sense of satisfaction from pushing them down a flight of stairs

by bamachine on Jan 13, 2010 1:07 AM EST reply actions

Honestly

i cant stand Tennessee. But hate to see yall down like this. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone but Auburn or maybe MTSU. My respect level for yall has actually gone up in light of your fanbase’s reaction to Lane Kiffin’s cowardice. Fact is yall can be better for it. I hope yall get a real good coach so Bama and UT can continue to be a great and competitive rivalry.

he was injured. injured bad.

Wish that I was on old Rocky Top

We are with you and we know how it feels. Vols this is the bottom, nothing but up from here.

Troy HAS fallen...again, again, and again.

I'm a UCLA alum

and it’s probably been said here before somewhere, but even so, it bears repeating.. You guys have always deserved better than Lane Kiffin.

I don’t say that as someone who despises everything that USC is and stands for (cheating, lying, thuggery, etc.), but rather as a UCLA Bruin who was completely surprised and humbled by the class and hospitality shown by nearly every single Vols fan to the UCLA contingent that showed up for the game this fall.

I will always root for UT to do well because of that, and knowing that Lamey is gone makes it that much easier to do so. It will only get better from here.

Go Vols! (unless you’re playing UCLA, of course!).

Just picking you out but...

I’ve gained a lot of respect for UCLA tonight. Don’t get many PAC-10 games here in the south, but if I see you guys on the tube against anybody, especially USC, I’ll be cheering for you. You guys have all been nothing but class tonight. Not many of us are in a mood to acknowledge it, but I think in the morning we’ll all appreciate it.

by Prometheus1185 on Jan 13, 2010 1:20 AM EST up reply actions

UCLA has been very nice tonight

They say its because ur hospitality when they played there…I am not saying thats not true, It just makes more since to think they feelconnected with UT now because UCLA hates USC and the type of hate for them is nothing near the typical SEC rivarly hate. So now UT should hate USC since that is where Kiffin is now. thus the alliance was formed. You know the saying your enemies enemy is your friend.

At the time, they were very glowing about their visit to Knoxville.

Back when the whole USC connection was a complete non-issue. Many of them even said their appreciation came despite us having Kiffin as a coach. It’s legit.

+1

He’s probably shafted you guys for this season but a good riddance in the long run. You guys don’t want or need a coach like him.

Go Bruins!

classy comment

My sentiment exactly, contrary to my expectation of pompous So Cal surfer boys, every UCLA fan I met at the game was a pleasure to interact with (forgive my stereotyping). Do me a favor and please for the love of God, destroy Lane and U$C and next time you play them. Next time you come down south, a round of Jack Daniels on me….

Hey Guys

Sorry you had to be done like that by that Trashy coach trained by Pete Carroll. You will be better in the long run to get a top notch coach to run your top notch program. Best of Luck. I hope he doesnt steal many of your recruits in this giant backstab maneuver.

Sorry about the bad news today Vols.

As a Rebel I am sorry you guys got dumped like this. My father went to med school at UT so I have always liked you guys (unless we are playing you.) When I was told the news I was with two of my friends who played under Lane at USC. They didn’t have to many nice things to say about him that I will leave out if by chance a child is reading this thread. I don’t think many USC fans will be happy about this one but you guys are the winners in this deal. UT deserves better than this and Kiffen well forget him. Let him go make his mark in a second rate conference.

If you look at it

as an excuse for college students to go out and raise hell on a school night, it’s a lot easier to understand. Crowds take on a life of their own.

Auburn fan here

Vols, be glad he’s gone. Lame only wanted what was best for him. His departure is the only true act he performed in your best interests. You’ll find someone with character to take over the program. Best of luck.

Only at UT can you climb a "sculpture" clearly made from vinyl siding.

And, to channel breakupspeak, you’re better off without him. I’ve gotta say, I have the slightest of soft spots in my black heart for Vols fans now.

Before you respond, let me remind you: Brian Cook called me smug, which makes me the Obama of smugness. I'm basically Smugbama.

by Patrick Vint on Jan 13, 2010 10:22 AM EST reply actions

To be fair, EVERYBODY on campus hates that thing.

We here half hoping the students would actually take it down, really. Some donor gave money for it and some well-renowned artist made like a bandit with the dough, leaving us with that atrocity.

The ’70s-style yellow plastic light-up splotches are a nice touch. /sarcasm

i dont know if id call that a "riot"

more of a “large gathering of students”
