WBIR.com | Volquest.com reports Kiffin picked up recruit in limo
I don't know the rules on this, but I can't imagine VQ running it if he was in doubt about the rules. Hat tip to Clay Travis for the heads-up via Twitter.

How is that a violation?
What you're seeing is team spirit. It's like the Holy Spirit, but more powerful.

Best comment responding to this (on Clay's Facebook page):
Secondary violations by your own coach are edgy and cool, when it is someone else’s coach, well that is just plain cheating.

Odds that this will affect USC?

Still wondering what the rule in question is.

I haven't heard this one either.
I’m guessing there are restrictions on mode of transport.

I had the same question
I wonder if there’s a difference between having your entire coaching staff show up to visit in a limo and actually taking a recruit for a ride. But frankly, I don’t care enough to research it. That’s USC now.

Here's how I think this goes in California
Because I remember Pete Carroll “getting in trouble” for this same thing last year. They use a car service to pick up kids at the airport. If the kid is a big-time recruit, the car service just happens to conveniently be out of Town Cars or Crown Vics or whatever and only has limos left. Therefore, USC gets in no trouble because it was the car service’s fault
