Basilio: Tennessee hires Chuck Smith
[Note from Will - 4:23 PM EST 1/25/10] Still nothing official, but VolQuest has an awesome piece on Chuck Smith ($) that includes the following:
"I feel like this is my destiny," Smith said. "...I think I know how to teach this generation. I've learned a lot and I know I can coach players to protect the run, but also beat the hell out of quarterbacks.

so i’ll believe it when someone more credible reports it.
Hyams says that he would be a long shot
yet volquest puts out an article that Smith says he would relish the opportunity. Hyams is terrible

So yeah, #Jets coach Rex Ryan is saying Chuck Smith will be with the #Vols next season. No confirmation from UT, though
#Vols officials who will “announce” coaching hires have not been told to prepare release. But when Smith’s old boss says it, it’s happening.
