Feldman: UT commit Eddrick Loften to visit USC
Well isn't that just dandy. I wonder what Willie Mack told Loften the day before he left UT without telling anyone? And I wonder if it matters. Sigh.

I will refrain from calling Willie Mack and the rest of the pimps that went to USC the name I would like to.
Suffice it to say it has something to do with some combo of roosters and lollipops.

Had enough
This is BS. There have to be some rules against this. I’m not naive enough to think this should be an ethical process, but the NCAA needs to man up and grow a set and hold coaches accountable.

I'm with Coop
This getting to the point of complete absurdity.
What exactly has the NCAA give us at this point?
The BCS which is laughable in itself
We don’t even want to talk about the officiating in the past 2 years
7 years worth of investigations practically in to a school with nothing done STILL
And absolutely no interference in this merry go round.
I’m one more obvious recruit change over and coaching departure from swearing off college football.
Maybe. Sort of.
Almost.
Well….will think about it strongly anyway.
With a really mean face….

It's here to stay.
The only thing the NCAA can do is allow teams to sign players as soon as they commit verbally. Get rid of the NSD (which is just pomp and circumstance anyway, i.e. Bryce Brown) and that can get enough dirty play out of the way. Also, allow students to leave with their coaches or make coaches sit out a year. Until then, sorry.
Face it. Every college team does this. Tennessee is going after two players who are already committed to other SEC East teams. As ugly as it is, it’s part of the process.
I agree but disagree as well
Your right, and I know it.
But I’m looking at it from a Business stand point.
Even the most basic of companies these days have Non compete clauses. Obviously the bare bones version of such is not possible in this instance.
However, deals that a individual makes while a representative of an organization do not cease when that individual leaves the company. Agreements, contracts and business plans still move forward.
Headhunting is also often mentioned in contracts. I’ve had to sign agreements to not cherry pick former employee’s without the companies consent. Again, not rocket science, but I’m completely blown away that such things were not done/ignored/unenforced here.
If a student, in and of their own free will change their mind: hey no problem.
But when its admitted on National television that a former coach was contacting recruits of his former employer…and then low, and behold recruits start running to the new employer..somebody…somewhere…should say “Hey. Time out. Lets check this.”
I guess my point is, it should have never have gotten to this point without someone at least announcing a investigation in to “possible improprieties” by said cadre.
I’m just ranting. Ignore me as ya’ll see fit
