Go Vols!
I want to see hot shooting, ankle breaking drives, alley-oops, and Kevin Stallings crying like a baby on his bench.
Shouldn't we spell it Weezy?
After all, that’s how Wayne spells it. I’ve always been of the opinion that you should defer to others on how to spell their own names.

You are correct
But Jackson really doesn’t listen to anyone. I’ve tried.

Forcing errant passes; Ogilvy chucked it out of bounds but it was caused by the pressure on the pass to Ogilvy.

Halftime stats of note:
Chism 1 point, 5 rebs
Ogilvy 2 points, 0 rebs, 2 fouls
JP Prince 11 points 3 rebs
Scotty Hopson 9 points 2 rebs
Vols 12 of 28 42.9%
VU 11 of 24 45.8%
Rebounds 18-16 VU
5 Vandy players with 2 fouls
Without looking at the stats
Feel fine about our rebounding. The defense, however, has been extremely hit and miss, and the offense has been atrocious.

What safety did they just say just decommited from FLA and is considering UT?
The talking heads on ESPNU said something but I didnt catch it all.

he didn’t drop Florida. They dropped him. I mean, there has to be something really bad going on there for that to happen.

If Dooley offers him a scholarship then Im not worrying about it.
He seems like he is a pretty good judge of character and if the guy isnt worth the headache then Im sure he wont even consider him.
I'm guessing it went something like this:
Dorsey:
If, after 4 years, Tim Tebow can’t handle a snap from under center, how can I know that you’ll prepare me for the NFL?
Florida:
[click]……………….
by David Hooper on Jan 27, 2010 8:05 PM EST up reply actions 1 recs
That sounds about right.
And after Tebow plays like crap this weekend I wonder if they are gonna blame it on his strep throat.
To be on the record: I wouldn't mind at all if Tebow succeeded in the NFL.
But I do think it’s obvious at this point that, if he succeeds, it’ll be because of his own natural ability and despite the training he received at Florida. Urban made him very successful in the Florida system, but didn’t prepare him for the future. And that’s fine, so long as everybody recognizes that as such.
by David Hooper on Jan 27, 2010 8:10 PM EST up reply actions
I will agree with that.
It would shame the SEC IMO if the all time leading rushing TD record holder went to the NFL and was garbage.
honestly
i think his interest in Tennessee was pre-Dooley. I know he is looking at USC, so that interest might be entirely gone. He hasn’t been on an official visit here, and I don’t think there is enough time to get him in. Isn’t this weekend the last they are allowed to do that?
I believe that to be true. I read somewhere on here that Dooley has appealed the NCAA for more visits.
Something about… we didnt use but 75% of the alloted visits before signing day so we can get 13-14 more if the NCAA doesnt reject it.
He did.
I haven’t heard the result, though.
But I wonder if we can use them for people who don’t commit on NSD. I would think that our class – again – won’t finish as normal.
by David Hooper on Jan 27, 2010 8:21 PM EST up reply actions
I was kinda thinking it would be an advantage to have the undecided kids take a visit after NSD.
Seems like the ones that were looking for early playing time would have more clarity about what was going on with recruits at their position and the schools they were looking at.
