BlogPoll Ballot Drat Week 13

Yes, we're looking at overrides for those teams who live on offense.  Boise down, Auburn up, Oregon up, etc. etc. etc.  Here's the sheet in Excel 07 form, as usual.  (For those who haven't followed our computer this season, the offense/defense ratio has been out of whack and is a known issue, but we decided to wait until the offseason to change anything.  Hence our overrides.)

  1. TCU Horned Frogs
  2. Boise St. Broncos
  3. Oregon Ducks
  4. Stanford Cardinal
  5. Ohio St. Buckeyes
  6. Auburn Tigers
  7. Wisconsin Badgers
  8. Nebraska Cornhuskers
  9. Alabama Crimson Tide
  10. Nevada Wolf Pack
  11. Oklahoma Sooners
  12. West Virginia Mountaineers
  13. Arkansas Razorbacks
  14. Michigan St. Spartans
  15. South Carolina Gamecocks
  16. Virginia Tech Hokies
  17. Florida St. Seminoles
  18. Texas A&M Aggies
  19. Northern Illinois Huskies
  20. Utah Utes
  21. Missouri Tigers
  22. Oklahoma St. Cowboys
  23. LSU Tigers
  24. Central Florida Knights
  25. Arizona Wildcats

The Top

The undefeateds will go 1-2-3, naturally.  Other than that, I want to move Wisconsin ahead of Ohio State.  Nevada and Boise State are question marks.  I think Boise should probably stay above Nevada (/Will's head explodes), but that they should be close together - something in the 7-12 range.  Also, Arkansas should move up and Alabama should move down.  This will be an issue in the SEC Poll as well.

The Middle

West Virginia?  A bit high, perhaps?  Also, give some feedback on Virginia Tech and Florida State.  I think that Tech's loss to James Madison can now be excused as letdown after the Boise loss and a 5-day turnaround (though we obviously don't forget the loss).  Meanwhile, FSU dispatched of a meh Florida that has consistently gotten worse.

I also like the Northern Illinois love (I_S) and feel pretty good about keeping them above Utah.

The Tail End

Let's have 'em, Will.  I will say that, this late in the season, beatpaths probably ought not be gospel but can help sort out otherwise close teams.
