Other games of note:
- West Ham v. Man City, 9:55 AM, ESPN2
- Aston Villa v. West Brom, 10 AM, FSC
- Newcastle v. Liverpool, 12:30 PM, FSC
Of those, City is the only team in the top 4 of EPL at the moment, but Villa / West Brom is a quasi-derby and Newcastle / Liverpool features two of the biggest on-pitch trainwrecks I’ve seen in a while, as Roy Hodgson does his best to turn Liverpool into Fulham and Newcastle just sacked their manager, replacing him with a pretty worthless lump. Basically, it’s the EPL equivalent of Notre Dame / Miami.

Aside:
Balotelli is one of the most volatile and talented athletes I can remember seeing. I’m convinced that he can do anything he wants on the pitch, but I’m not convinced at all he’ll even be playing in five years.

I really would love to be watching
But I have to grade papers sometime, and doing it now allows me to watch the UT/Pitt game. Also, Bolton doesn’t play today, but watching Stu Holden in the middle has been one of my favorite things about the EPL this season.

Newcastle won comfortably 3-1 (about accurate description of game flow). Liverpool is a mess.

Nova up 14-10 on App State
End of the 1st Quarter … App hasn’t been able to run the ball, unless they’re breaking a big play or fumbling at the end of it.

Man, App just can't get the refs to give them a good call
Several iffy decisions on Roughing the Passers and no-calls on Pass Interferences, and what looked like a stop on 3rd and goal from the 1 wasn’t given after review.
