UK + Calipari = Ridiculous amounts of dislike
Regardless of the outcome of this game, the above equation will remain true. Wearing my lucky UT Basketball shirt and hoping for a miracle!
Yeah
I’m wearing my UT-Mempis 66-62 t-shirt, too.

From Wes Rucker's twitter:
Cam Tatum in street clothes, Wayne Chism should go but they’re watching him in warmups to make sure
Good that Wayne is able to go
But even a half-speed Chism spells doom.

Gators headed south in the bracket
second loss this week, this one looking like double digits at home against Xavier…
Are there any good teams in this conference after UK-Vandy-UT? Florida’s lost twice this week, Carolina lost to Georgia today, Arkansas lost at Alabama, Ole Miss has lost 3 of 4 and MState had to beat them to end a 4 of 5 skid…these power rankings tomorrow will be a nightmare.
continuing the point
Auburn is up 3 in Starkville with 2 to play

Oh great
Does this mean he won’t play or that he’ll be limited? Either one is very, very bad.
Can’t we just tape the hell out of his ankle so he doesn’t feel it anymore? I once had a sprained ankle that bugged me for three months, but I was taped and ready to go for games, even on days where walking normally (without tape) was an issue.

Pearl said he would play
unless there’s a danger to further injury…as long as it’s just soreness, I think we’ll see him.

Cousins/Patterson vs. Hall/Woolridge? Yikes.
Seconded.

Yikes indeed
No Chism = No Chance
But I’ll never count this team out. They play up to their competition
Yes on both
Even if they contradict each other. :-)

This is one of the few times
I think the “swagger” JP Prince brings to the table will be essential. If Wayne’s not out there, Prince becomes the leader and the only guy who knows what it’s like to go into an environment like this and win

at the very least we need Weezy if he's medically able to come in
and make some explosive emotional plays to keep us ignited.
Hopson, Maze, Pajamas…need to do their thing tonight. Bone to guard Wall a la Sherron Collins?

Calipari speaks out of all sides of his mouth
“Tennessee will come in here playing sky high. The game will end and they’ll say they’ve never played that well all year. They played better than they played against Kansas.”
Yeah
He also said he doesn’t worry. But he worries about anxiety. Which is worry. Maybe he’s only anxious about being concerned.

Let's just ignore the time that Lofton was injured in Gainsville

This is setting up exactly like the Pearlfection game. EVerything’s about UK. No one’s barely mentioning Tennessee. Still, I just feel like much more of an underdog in this one.

i was at that game...
the most electric atmposhere i have ever been in any sporting event. i thought that atmosphere would be brutal for tennessee to play in.
Well, there's a 1 in front of our #2 this time
And our best player is hobbled. And they have more talent than Memphis did, despite not as good a record.

ASoB said this is as bad as UK can play
I’m not convinced. Hopefully, they top (bottom?) that in the second half.

you know
it’s actually a good standard to compare this game by. i’ll take it

well according to these [fulmerizers]
the only reason tennessee is in this is because we are milking the clock. how i would love to get out and run in this game and beat UK that way. seriously though…… anyone who knows basketball can’t ignore the fact that teams with superior front lines typically do better in the half court. if tennessee really is outmatched like these guys thing, then Kentucky should relish playing in the half-court
Yeah
And how dare us for using a good strategy against a better team. It’s unfair! Florida all over again.

Tim Burton is crazy...and I love him for it.
Don’t think it’s for the kiddies…Like the Where the Wild Things Are movie.

Never saw it
But Alice is one of my favorite books ever. Absolutely fantastic. That’s why the movies make me nervous.

The book is Fabulous.
The Disney cartoon version didn’t exactly follow the book as much as I would have liked…but no movie ever does.

Through the Looking Glass is great too
And if you liked either book, you absolutely should read “The Hunting of the Snark,” the nonsense epic poem. So great. It’s available free online. Make sure to read it aloud though; it is a poem.

I really liked TtLG, too.
I’ll have to check out that poem…and have an impromptu poetry reading tomorrow.

much better
imagine where we’d be if we quit turning the ball over, which I’m sure is what they’re saying

I think our bench point edge shouldn't really count
Because Wayne didn’t start.

Kentucky is going to make a run
and we’re going to have to survive it…you just have to play well for 40 minutes in this place, and I really hope we’ve got that in us.
I want to win this game desperately…but first we need to make it to the last five minutes
Weather the storm that UK is inevitably brewing...
and I like our chances.

We techincally have a bench edge anyways...
at least based on season averages
this is a kentucky game
they are only playing themselves out there. tennessee might as well be a practice squad
just curious
does anyone know the record for comments on a basketball game. We are at 425 comments at the half.
It's simple Cubs in the spring and summer, Vols in the fall and winter.
