What will we hear ???

Ok guys what is it that DD is going to tell us about this class?
Personally I am pretty pleased of the fantastic job DD has done to bring the outlook of next season out of the dumper of most fans and into the positive focus of a bright future. I think that is the BEST attribute that I have seen about DD so far. His positive attitude with a very reasonable outlook to next season has to bring big dividends when it comes to reuniting the fan base after such a rape and piliage from that trojan crowd. I am looking forward to hearing what DD thinks of the job he and his staff have done in the crash course 3 week whirlwind tour.

Heck, if we go undefeated next year they can wear pink unis for all I care

Egads, we need to remind him to ditch the blue shirt when we get him an orange tie too. Orange and Blue at a Tennessee presser is liable to induce mass vomiting.

It's official then:

Wilcox is our DC! Orange and Blue homage!

by David Hooper on Feb 3, 2010 5:11 PM EST up reply actions

I missed the beginning of the conference...

But somebody just asked him something about something “…when you didn’t have a coordinator until today.” so I’d say its official.

by Prometheus1185 on Feb 3, 2010 5:16 PM EST up reply actions

definiately

Neyland Stadium-It goes to eleven.

by jimvols on Feb 3, 2010 5:17 PM EST up reply actions

And now

He’s talking about Justin Wilcox so I’d say the part I missed was the introduction of Justin Wilcox as the DC.

YES!!

by Prometheus1185 on Feb 3, 2010 5:17 PM EST up reply actions

From what I've seen

it looks like Boise St. fans are reallllly disappointed to see Wilcox go…

Neyland Stadium-It goes to eleven.

by jimvols on Feb 3, 2010 5:19 PM EST up reply actions

Yes

I know a guy who is a boise fan who is really disappointed that he is leaving. He has said things to the effect of Wilcox being the second most important piece of their staff behind Peterson.

Black unis.....

Ahhhh those were cool!! Made the whole country see the big orange in a new light! I loved it!

they will eventually get it up for replay.

They’re not totally consistent about how long it takes, though. Just keep checking back. I’d wait a couple hours or so.

Consensus #1 player Seantrel Henderson

signs with USCesspool. Hate to see anything good happen for Lame and Orangeron.

As to that: today is one huge relief in one way.

With 2010 recruiting effectively done, the last bit of run-in between USC and UT is over. He can go his way and we can go ours.

To be honest, I was getting very tired of the drama over the last few weeks. When the sun rises tomorrow, Oregon will be more relevant to UT because they’re on our schedule.

by David Hooper on Feb 3, 2010 6:16 PM EST up reply actions

I'd like to think thats the last run in we'll have with them.

I have a feeling we’ll be competing for some of the same players for the next couple years though.

by Getoffmyvols on Feb 3, 2010 6:23 PM EST up reply actions

Sure. But that's no different than any other school at that point.

This year, it was over players and coaches that were linked to Kiffin through UT (or vice versa if you wish). Now it’s just USC and UT.

I loved his comment to the Scout reporter

“You guys are outnumbered. You gotta bring more people if you want to compete.”

Going back through the presser:

He noted the 2007 class: ranked #3 at the time, but only 53% in attendance now. Even factoring Berry’s wise departure to the NFL, that’s really low, and it’s a stump that a few of us have been on.
