Yeah

I’m ignoring not having the 20 inches of snow. But that does sound like it would make things even more cozy.

Hola, gang

Was anyone watching the Gonzaga-Memphis St. game when one of the commentators made an obligatory “Walking in Memphis” reference and the other guy had no clue what he was talking about? Easily the highlight of my day so far.

Not good shooting, but I like the rest.

Better defense, great rebounding early, and Chism’s drawing fouls.

Great move by Chism.

I’ve seen that a few times recently; if he’s using that a lot it’ll be in our favor big-time.

The D has been GREAT to start the game. Fatigue affects shooting first though. It may be tough to overcome the quick turnaround, at least if the start is any indication.

The turnaround matters at the 10 minute mark of the 2nd half or so.

This is adrenaline right now.

It's not uncommon in our world, either.

When your strategy is to muck things up throughout and then hope your star point guard makes some shots at the end of the game, it happens. Luckily, that guard does make a lot of those late game shots.

Do they keep Downey from supporting in the interior? I mean, I know his height makes him kinda limited for action near the rim, but does SC make a deliberate attempt to keep him away from foul-risky situations?

Good for him

Mike Griffith (who wrote two really good basketball pieces a week ago) had a thing today about the Vols totally dropping the ball by not hiring him, and why he would’ve been so much better than some of the guys we hired, that I completely and totally disagreed with.

If Tee is a good coach, he’ll prove it at Kentucky, and maybe then we’ll have an opening some day. But to bring him in as an assistant just because he played quarterback on the ’98 team is highly flawed logic.

I think this was a good move. This will be the 10th game Williams has missed, if I read correctly. That’s a pretty big punishment for a first offense, in my opinion. Granted, I would be alright with more, but I am okay with the announcement of him coming back, esp. if it’s a small drug charge.
