Reaction to the NCAA Bracket Selections
Around SB Nation's NCAA blogs today:
- Duke Basketball Report takes a look at the seedings and match ups for the Blue Devils as well as the other ACC teams that made the NCAA Tournament.
- Carolina March uses simple math to show that, despite appearances to the contrary, the NCAA does not have it out for mid-majors.
- Virginia Tech blog Gobbler Country says that the Hokies have no one to blame but themselves for missing this year's tournament.
- A Sea of Blue notes that Kentucky's game against Mississippi State to win the SEC Tournament had it all: buzzer beaters, desperation shots, and the entire range of basketball jaw-droppers.

Yes, but it's a tad complicated.
The whole breakdown is here. Joel will expound on that shortly.
But basically, there are three brackets available. Joel will list the ‘official’ one later, but playing all three maximizes chances of winning. Kinda like playing the same set of numbers in three different lotteries. ;-)

For the record, I am not worried about this at all...
… but I frequent a message board that includes several Big Ten fans (including one Iowa fan) and they are saying that Iowa fans are talking about Bruce Pearl in the wake of the Hawkeyes firing Lickliter.
Lou Brock loves Lamp.
No surprise there....
Of course they would love to have him…
"It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone." A. Bartlett Giamatti
Again, I don't see any way it could happen.
There is no way Iowa would ever offer the type of money it would take to poach him, and that’s even BEFORE you consider the fact that Mike Hamilton is on shaky ground until we see how the Dooley hire pans out and would probably do whatever it took to hang onto the one inarguably good thing he has done since he got the AD job. I would imagine that as much as Big Jim Haslam seems to enjoy sitting courtside, Hamilton could probably take him a blank check and say, “Iowa is offering X, can you get me X+1?”
Lou Brock loves Lamp.
Iowa will not take Pearl.
They’d rather have a chance at an honest NCAA seeding someday.

At least at Iowa they would deserve to be punished for Pearl's alleged "transgressions"...
… we’re getting hatred from people for crap our coach did 22 years ago at a different school.
Lou Brock loves Lamp.
Careful...
that’s Kentucky’s logic re: Cal and Massachusetts.
