Lady Vol Softball NCAA Super Regional at Michigan

The #15 Lady Vol softball team will play #2 Michigan in a best two-of-three NCAA Super Regional today and tomorrow, winner goes to the Women's College World Series. The first game is tonight on ESPN at 7:30 PM EDT, with games 2 (and 3 if nec.) on ESPNU starting tomorrow at 4:30. More info at the link from the Lady Vols' official site.

Lady Vols win Game 1

Freshman pitcher Ivy Renfroe – which is an awesome name – was two outs away from a no hitter, and the Ladies shut out Michigan 5-0. Tennessee is now one win away from the Women’s College World Series.

And it's a sweep

Today the Ladies took a 4-0 lead, watched Michigan make it 4-3 and then load the bases with one out in the final inning, but got out of it to advance to the WCWS. I take great pleasure in beating Michigan at anything.
