Nelson's not even been participating in team activities due to an academic suspension.

[Update] My clipper was a bit too selective there, too, as some unnamed UT Athletic Official says that Nelson wasn't even there that night. So who knows?

The male bar owner called into Sports Talk on the Sports Animal Friday afternoon near the end of the 4:00 hour. Hyams asked him a question about UT football players involved in the assault, and his response was “Number 97 was definitely there.”

This remains a very fluid situation.

That Russell guy is just rambling off names. He tells the police that it was Nelson, but then turns around and tells Chris Low on ESPN that it was Montori Hughes and Denarious Moore. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about.
