How do you feel about Kenny Chesney? (rant)
He was just on the Espy's and gave a little speech about "our team" and "hometowns"...I think he is full of crap....
From everything I can tell Kenny Chesney doesn't do ANYTHING for Knoxville. I am unaware of any charities he actively supports or has helped found in or around the Knoxville area. Furthermore, I have seen him on ESPN a number of times and not once has he had any Vol gear on. The guy grew up in Luterell didn't he? That is definite Volunteer country!
I seem to remember last year (maybe two years ago) he was at the UT/FL game and watched the game from the Florida sideline!!!
I don't know, it hasn't really bothered me that much before, but, when he sings songs like "Back Where I Come From" and goes on ESPN to wax poetic about hometowns and cheering for the home team it just pisses me off. I can't find a single example of this guy actually doing anything for or in support of Knoxville or the surrounding communities, much less the University of Tennessee. If I am wrong please let me know.....

Ummm
Not that I really care what Kenny Chesney is doing, but ever hear the song “Touchdown Tennessee”? Also, pretty sure he brings Peyton Manning up on stage periodically and has has a concert at Neyland.

Hello ladies. Look at your man, now back to me, now back at your man, now back to me. Sadly, he isn't me.
He also brought Tebow up on stage during a concert in Gainesville…I think the original posters point is that he may talk a good game and sing a good song, but when it comes to his actual hometown he is more or less transparent. I don’t think WiburTN is asking Kenny Chesney to be the next Mother Theresa but if your going to wax poetic about hometowns at least take off the Boston Red Sox hat and don some orange when your at the UT/FL game and your from E. TN.
Neyland Stadium-It goes to eleven.
I agree with taking off the Red Sux hat
That’s for sure.
I don’t really have a vested interested I suppose. I’m in Chattanooga. I’ll leave this one to y’all.

You watch the ESPY's????????

"If anyone asks you, you fixed my television. Now go!"
I did for the first time. It was pretty darn funny.
They basically made it like an elongated Weekend Update from SNL with awards handed out every now and then. Seth Meyers had a lot of funny jokes. Andy Samberg came out as Paul the Psychic Octopus with a suit and everything. And they had a segment lampooning the Lebron special where Paul Rudd interviewed Steve Carell about his decision to eat dinner at either Chilies or Outback Steak House.
What you're seeing is team spirit. It's like the Holy Spirit, but more powerful.

Kenny Chesney is a plague upon college football.
That is all.

However
I don’t guess they are mutually exclusive, so college football has some real plague issues.

Kinda feel like
he was just capitalizing on something there and not a true fan. The guy is clearly a savvy businessman, gotta respect that.
