Up next at the adult table is Georgia coach Mark Richt. Same plan, practically the same colors.
Richt is bringing a punter (Drew Butler), a fullback (Shaun Chapas), and A.J. Green.

Recorded his short opening remarks. Questions now.

for the record, Mallett's Michigan-Appy State comment will probably be my moment of the week
Not often you get to be that profound on a cliche that overused.
Thanks for all the updates Joel
It's simple Cubs in the spring and summer, Vols in the fall and winter.
Had problems connecting Flip to YouTube, so running behind
But catching up now. Richt loves Bobby Bowden and doesn’t like anyone who doesn’t like him.

Q: Is the 2010 attitude like the 2007 attitude
A: We have fine leaders, but they were outnumbered. We’ve got a group of guys who are taking control of this team. have a chance to be really successful. Of course, everybody’s good, but I feel really good about this bunch.

Q: RBs
A: In good shape, King and Ealy had a great spring; they should get the majority of the carries. OL is mature; TEs are mature. Last year two sophs and two frosh. WRs will be better blockers this year; all of that will help. Doubling AJ will pull something from the run game.

Q: What does a coach have to do to survive for 10 years, aside from winning
A: Just go about my business a certain way. Rep GA w/ utmost integrity. Goal to help young men grow up. We’re educators. Value how to play but also to function in society. Relied heavily on God. I know I don’t have enough strength, rely heavily on the Lord and on our coaches. Every decision I’ve made, I’ve made for the long run.

Q: How is energy different this year?
A: Change defensively. Brand new scheme. Guys anxious about where they’re going to play. Starters have to prove they deserve it. Coaching staff, too.

Q: APR rates for coaches, your take?
A: It’s a good idea b/c ours is going to be very high. This year second only to Vandy. Exciting to me personally, I think it’s a good idea.

Q: philosophy
A: Can’t just say let it rip; have to manage players no matter how talented they are. Don’t have to make a spectacular play everytime he gets the ball. If the protection is there, go for it. If it’s not, make the most of it, but take a sack if necessary. He’s just got to live it out.

Q: AJ Green, what can he improve on
A: Go through the entire season healthy. Offseason can help. I think he’s done that. He’s been a good, not great, blocker. Running routes, catching, he’s great. He’s a good guy, too. Good work ethic.

Q: insulted by hot seat talk?
A: No, I understand the business. I don’t worry about it. I focus on the important things, the things I can control; attitude; effort. The things I can’t control, I just trust the Lord. Been operating that way since 1986.

Q: Damon Evans' departure impact?
A: Very good friendship w/ Damon Evans. Very saddened by what happens. Has it affected our preparation? No. Will I have input on decision for new AD? I don’t think I will. I’m not on the committee like I was last time due to the timing.

Q: Place an added emphasis on the SC game?
A: No, not really, but it’s always good to win and have some bragging rights when I go home.

Q: Have you ever been to Miami
A: Can’t comment on that issue right now.

Q: Mentality of the team as a whole
A: It’s good for us and a younger QB to fly under the radar.

Q: Rivalry with Julio Jones
A: No, I don’t know him that well. Know of him b/c of being in the same class and will probably be in the same class for the draft.
