So I was on my way to work (sort of) earlier today, and I had the radio tuned to ESPN. Colin Cowherd, shortly before signing off, mentioned our Tennessee Vols. Before signing off, Cowherd trumpeted the benefits of high expectations, pointing to the SEC, NFL East division, and AL East as examples. How does this relate to Tennessee?
Colin claims to have broken the news of Kiffin's departure a week before everyone else (someone else can back him up, I don't really like looking back on that time). Anyways, the source that revealed that tidbit has now told Colin that Dooley is on the hotseat. He said that unless the Vols go 8-4 or 9-3 next year, or show measured improvement over last year, Dooley could very well be gone. Did anyone else here this or have any ideas about what source he could be using? Is the UT Athletic Department really so naive as to believe that a team can actually improve while shedding offensive and defensive schemes, talent, and coaches like oh so much dead skin? What is happening?
