Proposed Solutions To The Problem Of Oversigning
Around SB Nation's college blogs today:
- Two authors of Dawg Sports suggest two solutions for the problem of oversigning, a libertarian approach and a conservative approach.
- Tomahawk Nation says some Seminole fans are relieved at the dismissal of wide receiver Jarmon Fortson for a rumored failed drug test.
- Maize n Brew, who incidentally isn't all that excited about a reported 2012 match up between Michigan and Alabama, takes a look at the conflicting reports of whether the game is going to happen.
- A Sea of Blue wonders what's up with the Chicago media staking its reputation on rumors of $200k payments to recruits.

dont mean to butt in folks, but Hooper asked me to let you know when I put out an article on the
behavioral problems in the SEC with coaches and players, and it will post today at 2pm over on www.wildcatbluenation.com. I did try to be gracious as far as Coach Dooley is concerned, but you folks can judge for yourselves.
I AM THE CAT......The Cat In The Hat!!!
REALLY...
overthinking the oversigning problem.
Just enforce the rules and apply them evenly… and King’s logic is full of fallacies.
Yeah, Eastern Michigan isn’t significantly closer to Michigan… but that doesn’t mean that the 85 limit is invalid and does nothing to promote equity.
If we’re using single examples, I’ll put Oklahoma’s 55 game win streak up against EMU/Michigan comparisons.
So instead of U$C boosters illegally buying one player for $200K
They can legally buy another ten scholarships? What a horrible, horrible idea.
