Suddenly
The bar brawl doesn’t look so bad….

Not really...
… but this helps a little bit:

What I meant
Was a couple of college kids duking it out in a bar seems to me to be a lot less of a problem than having a player stalk a female and then basically threaten to end her existence.
I’ll take the bar brawl any day of the week compared to that. Must be the redneck in me. ;)

What I meant
Two wrongs don’t make a right and the fact that a Florida player is doing equally (or more) reprehensible things doesn’t make me feel any better about what our players (allegedly) did.

Nope
Just the appetizer

Hello ladies. Look at your man, now back to me, now back at your man, now back to me. Sadly, he isn't me.
glass houses and whatnot
After how quickly our players returned from their punishment, I would not be so quick to make fun of UF’s punishment. Rainey is no longer with their team.
“Indefinite suspension” == “make sure you are on time for the first practice”
My windows have been shattered this year.
My view of my own teams are so bad, I am slinging {FULMERIZED} everywhere.

Ok
1. Urbie has a history of riduclously light punishments
2. The DA has closed the book on the brawl as of today. The players charged with crimes were disciplined, and even some that were not charged with crimes missed a month-ish of team activites.
3. No UT player has made any death threats that I’m aware of.
4. Sorry, I’m not allowed to joke anymore I guess.

Well...
1. Yes, agreed
2. Understood, however, the appearance (outside Vol-land) is that the DA is sweeping this under the rug, because they are Vol football players. Don’t necessarily agree with that myself, just bringing an outside viewpoint for consideration.
3. Also agreed, however, the victim in question reportedly didn’t believe they were actual death threats, just wanted the police to intervene because her brain-addled (Rainey got a concussion last Sat.) sometime boyfriend was behaving erratically.
4. No please do… My post was more indicative of my lack of a sense of humor about this subject than the humor of your statement.
My real point was just that as a Vol fan, I find it hard to rag on another program for lax discipline when our program has been getting more headlines on the police blotter recently than they have gotten for the quality of their play.
However, not to wallow in schadenfreude over a young man’s stupidity costing him possibly a career, but I am quite pleased that their #2 receiver is out for this weekend’s game.
Then I thinkg we're in agreement on all counts.
