Preseason Vol predictions: last call

So, with our first game tomorrow, I thought it'd be a good time for everyone to give their final pre-season predictions. We can keep them here in this thread and then go look at them after the season. Sound good? Good. Okay, I'll go first.

Star-divide

Optimism is running high as we near kickoff, and I can't help but think we'll win a game we shouldn't. That game is LSU. Dooley knows what it takes to play in Death Valley, and I just don't trust Les Miles one bit. Also, we know we can convert third downs. Dooley winning his first SEC road game might indicate we'll take South Carolina in Columbia, and I think we fall short in that one before building late momentum against Memphis, Ole Miss (minus Masoli), Vandy, and Kentucky. The Music City Bowl jumps at a chance to take us, and we finally get our matchup against a North Carolina team in disarray after a season of fighting with the NCAA. You're welcome, bobo. And just like we always lose in Atlanta, we always win in Nashville.

I could be redundant but golfballs03 has it right. We have the exact same result - which means gb03 is doomed.

The COEXIST bumper sticker is ridiculous. How are people supposed to get along when one side is flying planes into tall buildings or wearing sweater vests full of C4 and nails? The faiths are MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE.

I guess I'm just more hopeful than y'all

That somewhere in the first 6 games as an underdog, there’s an upset.

You have no idea how hard it is to stay rational

Most of me really wants to argue for 10-2, because it’s so easy at this point to talk myself into Oregon, LSU, and Georgia all being wins. 6-6 is the dividing line between a good season and a bad one, and I expect us to finish on the right side of it.

Overboard

New on the block!

Predictions:
1. UTM: A given (W)
2. Oregon: Plus-returning starters, Minus-NO Masoli to run show.
Plus for Tenn-Neyland Stadium rocking!! (W). Close!
3. Florida: They have too many atheletes. (L)
4. UAB: Tough, but outclassed, (W)
5. @LSU: First big road test for Vols in the Death Valley. Miles figures
out how to loose. Blocked field goal at end. (W)
6. @Georgia: Dogs bite with unrelenting rushing attack. Ouch! (L)
7. Alabama: This time run over by stampeding elephant. We hung one from
a train crane in the railroad yard back in early 1900’s, up here!!
Her name was Mary and she killed somebody at the fair. (L)
8. @USC: Good DB’s and inconsistent QB. (W)
9. @Memphis: Basketball should be good according to their recruiting. (W)
10. Ole Miss: The Masoli factor. He’s on the wrong team! (W)
11. @Vandy: What can you say? (W)
12. Kentucky: There basketball won’t be near as good as last year!! (W)

9-3 record in a suprisingly good bowl. Too much blood letting in the SEC
this year. Probably in the Dome in Atlanta vs Ga Tech. (W)
10-3 with bowl win and maybe a top ten polling!! 11 hrs and 18 min to kick off
Go Big Orange!!
