None of RTT's front page writers made the top ten, although I will note that I finished ahead of both Hooper and Will, so na na na na na na.

The Confidence Points deal makes this pool tough

At 15-4 I am mired at #38 – lost big points on a double digit favorite and also on Vandy, UCLA. I don’t like Gold anymore….

If it were against the spread, I’d never score any points at all. /sigh

Wait til next week

The COEXIST bumper sticker is ridiculous. How are people supposed to get along when one side is flying planes into tall buildings or wearing sweater vests full of C4 and nails? The faiths are MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE.

I did okay on the confidence bits this time. Only lost Washington (1 point) and UCLA (3 points).

Actually

Illinois was supposedly a 13.5 pt favorite over Missouri, according to the funofficepools.com site. I was in a hurry, andI didn’t check it carefully – so it was a double digit confidence loss and a (sic) double digit spread loss.

I think they screwed up the sign, since it showed Missouri as a 13.5 pt dog. (Said another way, Illinois was -13.5 as the home team). i’m pretty sure that I’m interpreting the signs right since Florida was the home team and a -34.5 favorite in its game on the line above it.

I would ask for relief on that game because of the error on the site, but – frankly – I should have known better. Illinois, a double digit favorite over a non-directional school? (I’d make fun of me for asking).

At least I recall something like that. Said you have to watch out for neutral site games because the home spread doesn’t default to the designated home team.

It almost caught me, but then I did the “Illinois, a double digit fav???” thing you mentioned.

Half of us failed the IQ test.

An equal number of us picked Illinois with a high average confidence rating (10+). Not coincidentally, that was the exact same number of you (47 people) who actually paid attention and also put lots of confidence points (10+) on the Missouri Underdog visitors.

Ahhh, it’s good to have company among idiots.

If anyone wants to prop a bar bet to me, I’ve got a load of cash burning a hole in my wallet.
