Here's your weekly reminder to lock in your picks in our Rocky Top Talk 2011 group over at Fun Office Pools. You know the drill by now: weekly winners receive $10 gift cards to Gameday Depot, and we always enjoy tracking confidence points during our live game threads.
As we approach the halfway point, nc2316 (nice name, by the way) leads all pickers with an 80-20 record straight up, and trails Pete Carroll (less nice name) by just three confidence points overall. Still plenty of time for everyone else to catch up...here's how our community is feeling last week:
- After 84% of us bit the dust on South Florida last Thursday, 97% look to bounce back with Oregon over Cal tonight. It's currently the second most confident pick of the week at an average of 16.3 points, trailing only Boise State on the road at Fresno at 17.6 points. Tennessee set a new season record last week against Buffalo with the majority placing an average of 18.0 points on the Vols.
- In the SEC, 88% like Arkansas at home over Auburn, 98% like LSU over Jeff Driskel, and 83% are currently taking the Vols at home over Georgia.
- Close calls this week: there's small action on Navy over Southern Miss at 59% and 4.6 average points, as well as UCLA over Washington State at 58% and a whopping 2.8 average points. Elsewhere, 88% take Oklahoma in the Red River Shootout, 77% like Texas A&M to bounce back at Texas Tech, and 97% take Nebraska over Ohio State.
