Wonder if this is the same head ref from the NC bowl game?
The calls have been ridiculously one sided in the first half and the Vols are doing pretty well considering the fact we’re playing 11 on 16 with the striped shirts giving the Dawgs all the whistles

Bold face is a little more difficult to read if your eyes aren't so hot.
But the minimizing thing is nice for animated gifs.
It allows you to collapse the comment.
Since we’re not as gif-y or jpeg-y as other sites (that might begin with EDSB), it’s not as big a deal. But one guy posts a crazy gif without a subject line and we all go blind.

Passing game thoughts:
Interesting that we were going to Zach Rogers medium-to-long during the second quarter. I wonder if that was to get Grantham thinking we’re shifting to using Zach as the deep threat and bringing Da’Rick over the middle. I don’t know if that was a feint or a legitimate shift, but it seems to work. If Zach brings down a couple more, it will work.

Don’t let the refs put themselves in a position to dictate the game. Don’t give them reason to have questionable calls. And put the game beyond their reach. Yeah, it’s a pain, but it’s not going to change. Best deal with it.

Besides, all other quarterbacks look better when compared to a Simms. That’s the Simms Corollary, ergo he cannot be one of the best backups when compared to other backups, since they all have to be better than him.

Bray did ok, but that game was shortened by quite a bit… and neither team was able to get into a real rhythm. They basically hit us with 2 big plays, and a couple of penalties.

I will root every game. But the fact is we know we can compete, and this game the refs really messed us up in the 1st half. That said the reality is I don’t expect wins for most of our games save Kentucky et al etc.
We will play we will learn we will improve. But will we learn fast enough? I hesitate to say yes.
Don’t get me wrong. We played hard. But I still think we are a team that blinks too much after getting smacked in the teeth

That was nuts
They thought if we spent our time out at nine seconds, we would have time for a toss to the endzone before kicking the field goal. But we were at the 27, it would have been cutting it too close, esp. w/o Hunter.
Agreed on that last part.
That’s the frustration I have right now. This loss is on us. Giving up is on us.
And I’m going to hope that the receivers, Bray, and Simms spend some extra time in the film room this week. Grantham kept the passing game under control, and this will be the easiest D we face all month.

I really think that 6 of the 7 position groups are exactly what we thought they were
although 3 of those 6 have had major personnel issues that hurt a lot (Hunter, Lathers, Jackson).
But we all overrated the offensive line. with the line we were hoping for, we’re 5-0 instead of 3-2.
