Well, I was hoping that - somehow - we'd be able to avoid a scenario where the #2 team in the country is effectively getting a free pass to our equivalent of a championship. That's not going to happen now that Alabama effectively obliterated Auburn. Fortunately, LSU outscored Arkansas 41-3 over a 45-minute span so the awkward 1-2-3 SEC team scenario is gone, at least. Also, for a rivalry week's slate of games, it was fairly tame as far as upsets go. (Yes, I know. No, I don't want to get into it.)

• Team Please, PLEASE Voters Let One Of These Guys In Instead of Alabama: Oklahoma State, Oregon, Boise State, Houston, Oklahoma, Virginia Tech. There's no way it'll happen, but I can dream, right?
• Team I'm Running Out Of Clever Names To Call The Mishmash of Quasi-Crap Teams Sitting In The Top 20 Or So: the teams 11-18. Not sure what else to say, I'm sure the order's wrong-ish.
• Team How Bad Was Your Worst Loss, Anyway?: the rest of the lot. For one, I'm out of ideas after Arkansas State (no, thank you, 20-25 last week, for going 0-4). For another, I'm not sure how to order these guys except by worst loss. Arkansas State lost at Illinois, Nebraska lost at home to Northwestern, NIU lost at Kansas, Toledo lost at NIU, Clemson got blown out at NC State, Southern Miss lost to UAB (?!?!?!?!?!????!?!?!!!!!), and Notre Dame lost to South Florida. This makes no sense to me, but our 20-25 from last week went 0-5 (Arkansas State was on a bye). Yipes. That NIU loss really screws everything up, doesn't it?
