The story in Lexington should be Lamb staying and Knight, Jones, and Liggins going pro
but we’re on Day Four of KnightWatch! instead. The only reason Bob Knight is relevant today is for his mouth, and the whole thing is ultimately his fault. But UK people are responsible for how they react to it, and allowing it to overshadow actual news on their basketball team isn’t the right choice.
They love the hate.
"It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone." A. Bartlett Giamatti
And....
the frenzy continues. His apology isn’t enough, apparently further penance of some sort is “required”. Gary Parrish is reviled because he pointed out that Big Blue Nation, as usual, is going just a tad overboard with their reaction.
That’s entertainment!
