Just one day without bad news would be lovely.
Probably should have seen this coming I guess.

so this has got to be a drug thing right?
having a hard time figuring out what else it would be that we wouldn’t have heard about some other way (grades, arrests, etc.)

Speaking of which
How ridiculous is the ESPN homepage right now? The top 6 links are Titans-related (indirectly), Pat Summitt, Titans (Britt with Goddell), Titans (meeting with CJ2K), Vols (Jackson dismissed), Vols (BP gets show cause).
Mother of God
How does a school have this much bad collective karma? Did Phil get together with a voodoo priestess after his dismissal and have her curse us? Do we have to burn sage by the Torchbearer? I am open to all options at this point.

Not shocked
It’s been pretty clear that this has been a drug or substance abuse/addiction issue from the get go and apparently Janzen can’t/won’t get on top of it. Given the potential opportunities ahead of him, just boggles the mind.
Dooley and Kiffin before have given him more then enough chances…just a shame.
One more casualty for the 2009 class, at this rate won’t be much left of that ‘top 10’ class.
Good thing we’ve been loading up on secondary talent.
Bright side if there really is one
At least we got him out before he could bring any additional embarassment to the program like the bb gun hold up. And, given the youth on this team, the last thing we need is a veteran ‘leader’ bringing distructive influence to these younger players. I like the type of characters Dooley is bringing in and the more that are brought in the more evident it becomes that Janzen really doesn’t fit that culture.
I hate that Janzen couldn't get his business in order
But we will move forward guys. The rays are still poking through the darkness. Opportunity is Now Here for the stable of DB’s we have on this team! Remember that Janzen was still one of Kiffin’s guys, so it is almost appropriate that if he was going to be dismissed it would be on the same day the news of the investigation being over would come out. The train is still heading in the right direction and for us die hards it’s been a long time coming. This news won’t stop the train, maybe only delay it a little.

It's like Tennessee is stuck in a bad sequel of Final Destination.......

I have no words... Just none
FWIW, jayson swain tweeted about this supposed failed drug test is the ONLY one that is announced and players know about.
