When Curt Maggitt spurned the home state Gators and committed to Tennessee the day before National Signing Day, it was a major coup for Derek Dooley. Still, it seemed curious that the Vols were able to swoop in and nab such a recruiting gem from UF's backyard. The Palm Beach Post shed a little light on Maggitt's recruitment today when the UT freshman linebacker's father, Roosevelt, laid out the reasons his son chose UT. Florida's 27 arrests from 2005-10 didn't help matters, but among the reasons Maggitt is wearing orange is because a Gators assistant "disrespected" Maggitt's home. While there are some conflicting reports of exactly which assistant it was, the lesson remains that when you enter a man's castle, keep your feet on the floor.
