Dooley is not recruiting Eric Berry's brothers?
Um... why not?
I know the relationship between Berry and Dooley has been strained at times, or at least it has appeared that way. But what's up with this?

I had the same thought when I was doing the Talking Points this morning. My next thought was, “Are they even allowed to contact them?” I think there’s some way to communicate prior to the time they become eligible to “get recruited” whatever that means, but I think it’s probably more a case of (1) recruiting rules, whatever they are, and (2) having the coach who’d been covering that area retired and not yet replaced? and (3) it being two weeks to National Signing Day for this class. I seriously doubt they’re not interested, and if they’re interested, I seriously doubt they’re not “recruiting” them.

Whatever the case...
Eric Berry is clearly not happy with the Dooley staff (and hasn’t been for some time), and I would imagine he holds enormous influence with his brothers.
No player is bigger than the program, obviously, but this is Eric Berry we’re talking about. It seems like it would be worth making an effort to patch things up with him for a lot of reasons. Even forgetting about his brothers, Berry has been one of the best ambassadors for our football program in recent memory. If he isn’t happy with UT right now, it needs to be addressed. (And maybe efforts have been made and it is int he process as we speak, I don’t know. I just know it’s not good when Eric Berry isn’t happy with UT.)

yeah, Dooley needs to do everything he can to patch things up with Berry
I believe he was upset because we didn’t offer Josh Holsey (who, once we did offer, a full 10 months before signing day, promptly committed to Auburn), because Art Evans wasn’t getting enough playing time, and because of Fleming’s suspension. I have no idea whether Dooley was in the right or whether Berry ought to be upset, but regardless, you HAVE to try to patch things up as best you can. It’s Eric freaking Berry
If I cared more about my UNC side, I'd call myself "Tar Volon," and that'd be awesome.

I've seen a lot of people say that if Dooley is still our coach in two years, we're not getting the Berry brothers
just because of his relationship with Eric.
That said, I highly, highly doubt we’re not recruiting them. Maybe we haven’t been down to Creekside since Baggett left, but I think Joel’s ideas could explain that fairly well.

What I want to know is
What was the deal with EB’s twitter rant about a rs senior getting kicked off the team before the last game?
He never specified Tennessee and I don’t remember anybody getting kicked off so maybe it was another program but nobody ever clarified.
Hello ladies. Look at your man, now back to me, now back at your man, now back to me. Sadly, he isn't me.
Thought it was Art Evans
At least I think I remember reading that somewhere. Had something to do with dreadlocks, didn’t it?

He was also upset about something having to do with Evans though
Google turns up some hits. Most of it is (naturally) unsubstantiated internet gossip, but I believe that was what the situation was.

If Eric Berry's bros...
end up at Georgia and Dooley ends up getting canned would he surpass Kiffin in unpopularity?
I think the only way to surpass Kiffin
would be if he were driving a Bama/Florida/Kentucky/Vanderbilt bus on his way out of town.
It's Great! To be! A Tennessee Vol!
