Dalton Santos will sign with Texas
No real surprise here, but one of the most talked about commitments of UT's class will apparently accept a late offer from the in-state behemoth that is the Texas Longhorns. The Vols still have a couple of scholarships available to be filled between now and Wednesday.

As expected as this was
It’s still kind of disappointing. This makes me feel much less confident that we have the linebackers we need to move to a 3-4 immediately.
"Do the Titans have a miracle left in them in what has been a magical season to this point? If they do, they need it now. Christie kicks it high and short. Gonna be fielded by Lorenzo Neal at the 25; he dishes it back to Wycheck; he throws it across the field to Dyson. 30, 40, 50, 40, 30, 20, 10, 5, endzone...touchdown, Titans! There are no flags on the field! It's a miracle! Tennessee has pulled a miracle! A miracle for the Titans!"

Wait, wait, wait.
Where did this switch to Texas come from? Admittedly I haven’t paid as much attention to recruiting as I usually do, but still.
Okay so after reading around a little more
I found that it would have been a miracle if we kept Santos, but what made him change his mind?
Texas finally offered him

Did anyone notice
On rivals website our total points actually increased by 2 via the loss of Santos. I like most of you am not happy about the loss of a great athlete but heres to hoping rivals knows something I dont!
Rivals does some weird stuff like that sometimes,
but theyre still respectable. I like espn better as far as free sites though. Theyre more picky when it comes to giving players a 4 and 5* ranking. Their class rankings are a little more accurate imo too. Scout is embarrassment.

would have prefered to keep him but not worried about it
If we can land a couple of the guys we’re still in on late, this will truly be an outstanding class, perhaps the best class since one of Fulmer’s last great classes in the early 2000’s.
