I agree with Dooley that the roster looks better than when he arrived
I hope he really does have the leadership problems fixed and the worst really is behind him.
I think the leadership problem stems from him...
Kids that age do what they see as the norm not as they are told, and when they see their coach thrown them under the bus and use BS excuses instead of manning up and saying your right we had a bad game, but that crap stops here and we will turn this ship around etc.etc. than alls Dooley needs to do is look into the mirror to fix the leadership problems.

until you have some upperclassmen on the team, you have a huge leadership void, no matter who the coach is. Now if a bunch of off the field stuff pops up, yeah, I’d say it’s on Dooley. If we still have a leadership void this year, I’d say it’s on Dooley. But having a bunch of freshmen and sophomores not play like seasoned veterans isn’t on Dooley

That's what he needs to worry about right now
Saban, Miles, Richt, et al smell blood in the water. UT has some good 4 stars that other SEC programs wanted…the ones that Wilcox doesn’t try to take to U-Dub with him will be hounded by the other SEC coaches, at least until he hires a new DC. Signing Day is, what, Feb 3?
This was the press conference he needed to have 2 or 3 weeks ago
No information revealed, just a lot of “we’re getting better” platitudes. If he has this press conference sooner than January, then he doesn’t have to worry about all the rumors and drama.
It is worrisome to me that it took basically all of Knoxville demanding it (and his defensive coordinator and another top coach leaving suddenly) for Dooley to finally come out of hiding. He went silent almost immediately after he was hired too, leading to some in the press wondering if he knew what coaching in the SEC was all about.

…if UT has any interest in Kevin Steele as their new DC, I imagine he’s available now!
